United Filters International (UFI) has continually served the filtration needs of the Gas and Petrochemical Industry for over 30 years. With our warehouse ideally located in Amarillo, Texas, our $800,000 inventory supports those time urgent needs to insure rapid turn around for those unpredictable “upsets”. UFI’s filters are manufactured from both natural and man-made medias which include but are not limited to: cotton, nylon, fiberglass, rayon and polypropylene materials. Cores and end cap treatments are matched to interface with new or existing vessels. These caps and cores are manufactured using polymer or various metals to meet the needs of our customers. Vessels are all engineered and manufactured in accordance with ASME Standards.

United Filters provides Dual Wind Cartridges which are particularly suitable when the contaminants within the liquid cover a broad range of particle sizes. The more open outer winding traps the larger particles while the tighter internal wind captures the smaller, fine micron particles. This dual wind product provides longer cartridge life without altering the efficiency of the filter element.

Several field applications involving Dual Wind elements have similarly resulted in three times the normal filter life with equal or superior efficiency over single micron rated elements. Dual Wind elements are available in various media, core, end cap and micron ratings to meet your specific requirements. United Filters can support all your filtration requirements from the common to the custom.

Dual Wond filters are custom designed to suit each customers’ requirements. The inner wind is typically smaller for the fine dusting or micron retention, while the outer wind is larger for the prevention of pass thru or clotting. This type of design can increase dirt holding capacity to three and four times normal parameters. This allows higher efficiencies and fewer change outs. Both of which lead to more economical filtration. Typical dual wound filters can be a combination of 1 micron and 20 micron outer wind. This can be accomplished with any raw materials and lengths.
